Fernando Viseu began his working life as a hairdresser — learning that the discipline of care, the weight of scissors, and the conversation between barber and client were things worth getting right. That instinct drove him toward barbering, and eventually toward the cities where the craft is taken most seriously. He spent years refining his work in London and Paris before moving to Sydney, where he absorbed the particular confidence of a culture that treats grooming as part of how a man carries himself.
He returned to Hong Kong and joined Too Far East Barber & Co. in Sheung Wan — a shop that, like Fernando himself, refuses to treat barbering as a commodity. In the years since, he has become one of the defining voices in a city that is rethinking what a barbershop should be. The work is precise. The conversation is honest. The result speaks for itself.
